Program Host
Volunteer Role | Programming & Learning Team

IGGA is seeking confident, engaging volunteers to help host our virtual education programs. Program Hosts serve as the on-camera guide for sessions, helping welcome participants, introduce speakers, support audience engagement, moderate Q&A, and keep programs running smoothly.

This is a visible but flexible volunteer role. IGG experience is helpful, but not required, and training will be provided.

Social Media Content Creator
Volunteer Role | Communications Team

IGGA is building a small, collaborative communications team to support foundational messaging for the Investigative Genetic Genealogy Association. Our current need is focused primarily on social media content that helps IGGA communicate clearly, engage thoughtfully, and build awareness of its programs, values, and professional community. Social Media Content Creators will help develop clear, polished posts and short-form written content that reflect IGGA’s voice and approach to education, networking, and professionalism.

Member Experience Coordinator

Volunteer Role | Member Experience Team

IGGA is seeking a welcoming, organized volunteer to help strengthen the member experience as the association grows. The Member Experience Coordinator will support onboarding and engagement, identify recurring questions and needs, gather feedback, and recommend ways to help members feel informed, connected, and heard.

This volunteer leadership role is well suited for someone who communicates clearly, notices patterns, and enjoys helping people navigate information and opportunities. The coordinator will work with IGGA leadership and help shape the future Member Experience Team. Experience in membership, customer service, volunteer engagement, community-building, nonprofit work, or related areas is helpful. Deep IGG expertise is not required.

Program Coordinator
Volunteer Role | Programming  & Learning Team

IGGA is seeking an organized, collaborative volunteer to help lead and support learning and member programming for the association. The Program Coordinator will help organize webinars, recorded learning content, and related member learning opportunities.

This volunteer leadership role is a good fit for someone who enjoys bringing structure to ideas, supporting educational programs, and helping move work from planning to delivery. The Program Coordinator will work with IGGA leadership, speakers, and a developing programming support team. Deep IGG expertise is not required, but clear communication, reliability, and collaboration are essential.
